Yazmine Esparza brings skills in writing, media relations, strategic planning, crisis management and Hispanic affairs to Ogilvy Washington. With nine years of professional experience and an international background, she has developed and worked on strategic national and international communications, and crisis management programs for diverse clients in public policy, trade, tourism, and health care. Throughout her work at Ogilvy Washington, Yazmine has supported governments of Latin American countries, such as Chile, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Yazmine holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication, with a focus on Public Relations, from George Mason University, where she graduated magna cum laude and received the Excellence in Communication Award. She is now completing her master’s degree in Communication, with a focus on Media Writing, from Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico. @yazminepr
Mark W. McClennan, APR | Schwartz MSL
Mark W. McClennan is a senior vice president with Schwartz MSL Boston where he heads its consumer tech practice. He also serves on MSLGROUP’s North American Digital Executive team. Mark’s teams have been recognized with more than 45 awards for excellence in public relations, including five Silver Anvils. Mark has a B.A. in public relations and political science from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University. In his spare time he is a member of the national board of directors for the Public Relations Society of America where he helped drive the creation of the PRSA Ethics app. @mcclennan
Rajul Jain, Ph.D. | DePaul University
Rajul Jain is an assistant professor of Public Relations in the College of Communication. She holds a Ph.D. in mass communications, an M.A. in international business, an M.A. in mass communication from the University of Florida, a Master’s in information and communication technology from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Technology (DAIICT), India, and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University (RGTU), India. She has presented her research and won several top paper awards at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), International Communication Association (ICA), and International Public Relations Research (IPRRC) conferences.
Katrina Cabrera | AKQA
As PR & Marketing Director for AKQA, Katrina leads publicity efforts for the agency’s five offices in North America: Atlanta, New York, Portland, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. Katrina is responsible for building and managing the agency’s reputation. She works with executive leadership and the global marketing team to develop and share compelling thought leadership platforms, arrange speaking engagements, secure top-‐tier press coverage, and build strategic partnerships. She also promotes the agency’s work for clients including Anheuser-‐Busch, Audi, Delta, Google, Nike and others. Katrina graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Corporate Communications. @katrinacabrera
